Cable Goblet Squat Video Guide

Cable Goblet Squat Instructions

Starting Position:

1. Attach a straight bar or handle to the low pulley of a cable machine.

2. Stand facing the machine, holding the bar or handle close to your chest with both hands, similar to how you would hold a goblet.

3. Position your feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly pointed out.

4. Engage your core and keep your chest up.

Execution:

1. Begin the movement by pushing your hips back as if sitting into a chair.

2. Lower your body into a squat, keeping the weight centered and your knees tracking over your toes.

3. Continue lowering until your thighs are at least parallel to the floor, or as deep as your mobility allows while maintaining proper form.

4. Pause briefly at the bottom of the movement, keeping tension on the cable.

5. Push through your heels to return to the starting position, extending your hips and knees while keeping the cable close to your chest.

Breathing:

- Inhale as you lower your body into the squat.

- Exhale as you push through your heels to rise back to the starting position.

Tips:

- Keep your back straight and chest lifted throughout the exercise.

- Avoid letting your knees cave inward or extend beyond your toes.

- Focus on controlled movements, especially when lowering into the squat.
